We believe young people deserve the knowledge, support, and community to make informed decisions about their health and futures.
Arame exists to close the information gap in sexual and reproductive health, empowering adolescents and young people to make informed health decisions and fight against adolescent pregnancies.
Our mission began from hearing stories of teen mothers who got pregnant because they were lied toβtold that "they can't get pregnant during the day." That sparked an anger and determination not to let any more girls fall for lies that get them pregnant.
At the heart of every program we do, our goal is to educate every adolescent and young person about their reproductive health.
We dream of a world where every adolescent and young person is empowered with access to accurate sexual and reproductive health information and services to make informed decisions about their lives and well-being.
We exist to empower adolescents and young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
We bring SRHI (Sexual and reproductive health information) & Services to adolescents in unconventional channels: Entertainment, Arts & Technology
We influence positive behaviour change through community: support groups and "inshuti". Igniting choices for thriving futures
We involve adolescents and young people in creating their own solutions
Comprehensive initiatives transforming sexual and reproductive health across Rwanda.
Through theatre and storytelling, we spread accurate sexual and reproductive health information. We do it in community theatre campaigns, school story-writing competitions, movie road shows, and entertainment events. In partnership with MTV Staying Alive Foundation, we broadcast engaging movies that inform SRH.
We believe offering comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) information and essential services accessible immediately through a single, convenient dial will solve many misinformation issues. Our toll-free number offers a private and safe space to access SRH information and services. Call us on 1250
To help increase local awareness and promote better outcomes, we organize free HIV testing and counseling sessions directly within the community. These essential services are designed to help adolescents be aware of their health status and make informed health decisions to take control of their future.
This is our skills and economic development program dedicated to empowering teen mothers and young girls who are currently out of school. Participants gain valuable hands-on experience in crocheting alongside essential financial literacy skills and sexual and reproductive health. Support this journey by purchasing their handmade ARAME Bloom Bags.
